Latest Athlete Blog - It’s A Skateboarder’s Life

Hi guys, how has your week been? Mine has been awesome. I had the opportunity of a lifetime recently to skate with over 80 of the best skaters in the world at the Men's Park Skateboarding World Championships in Nanjing, China.
I met lots of new friends and had an amazing time skating with everyone. In the competition, I skated well but didn't quite land a full run. All things considered, I was happy to take 31st place.
Brazilian, Pedro Barros, was extraordinary in first place, Heimana Reynolds (USA) took second and Keegan Palmer took home 3rd for Australia which was spectacular. In the Women's our very own Poppy Star Olsen came 3rd which again was amazing.
All up I had an awesome time hanging out with the Australian team and meeting new skaters from all around the world. A bonus was skating some of the best street spots and skateparks China had to offer.
Since getting back from China I've been flat out and loving life.
I skated the Bondi Fish Bowl Frenzy 4 days after I got back from China. It was fun and I was hyped to take away second place in the opens division.
After a few days of school, I flew to Queensland for a long weekend of training at the new Skate All Day Training Facility on the Gold Coast.
It was a lot of fun and I was pumped to land my first 540 on vert the day before my birthday.
Last weekend I skated the King Of Concrete Competition at Five Dock.
The level of competition was really high and I was super stoked to take away first place in the open men's division. Five Dock is the closest park we have to Olympic standards so it's a good place to be skating well.
Well, that's my wrap! I hope you have been getting out and having fun. Thanks for reading and I hope to catch up soon!
