The Illawarra Academy of Sport relies heavily on the generous support of the community through NSW and Local Government funding, fundraising initiatives, corporate partnerships and mutually beneficial commercial sponsorship arrangements.
The Academy offers a wide range of partnership opportunities with a genuine community focus that allows businesses to be aligned with an organisation that is committed to making a difference to young athletes in the Illawarra.
The Academy strives to align with strong business partners and supporters who share the same common vision and core values.
The Illawarra Academy of Sport appreciates the generous support provided by our Gold Partners.
The BlueScopeWIN Community Partners program sees two iconic businesses in the Illawarra joining forces to create a local community support fund.
The new BlueScopeWIN partnership will contribute a significant amount to projects and programs that meet real needs in the Illawarra.
Collectively, it’s all about making a real difference to the Illawarra community.
Both BlueScope and WIN are proud of their long history in the region and see this as the perfect opportunity to join together and create a new model for community engagement.
BlueScope has been part of the Illawarra’s landscape for over 85 years, since the Hoskins’ family established the Port Kembla Steelworks in 1926 – internationally it still remains BlueScope’s largest single manufacturing site. Whilst WIN TV, headquartered in Wollongong, has been an integral part of the Illawarra community since Bruce Gordon purchased the business in the 1960s.
Our mission is to inspire people to live a better life.
Hundreds of thousands of people have joined Jetts with thousands more joining every day.
Each one with their own story, battles, challenges, hopes and dreams.
Some want to get fitter; others want to make new friends.
If we can inspire people to live a better life, then that’s mission accomplished for us.
Our values are at the core of everything we do.
They are what we stand for, our philosophies and reason for being. They are our guiding pillars for decision-making or if we need a point in the right direction.
Live by the golden rule.
To live by the golden rule means to treat others how you like to be treated.
Keep things simple.
At the end of the day everything in our business should be as simple as possible.
Listen. Learn. Improve. Repeat.
We must constantly listen to our members, learn how we can do things better and then make those improvements. It’s a never-ending process.
We all shower naked.
Break down the barriers of egos, attitudes and judgements, and treat everyone the same.
Wow the member.
Whatever mood a member walks into the gym with, ‘wowing the member’ is about spotting opportunities, whenever we can, so that they leave in a better one.
Make a difference in the world.
Be a positive influence within your community, region, state, country or world by finding ways to make a difference in the lives of those we come into contact with.
We're all in this together.
Delivering the best possible experience to our members requires every part of our business to work together as one team - from our partners, to our owners, to our support office and club managers .
Many people talk the talk but fail to walk the walk. To be Ninja means living every day through the spirit of Ninja, to display traits of discipline, inspiration, integrity and passion in every action.

The clinic provides for the total management of the injured person and recognises that rapid return to activity is achieved by accurate diagnosis, prompt treatment, appropriate rehabilitation and injury prevention. We have a strong belief in promoting education of the causative factors of injury. This enables patients to become involved in their injury management and rehabilitation. We aim to prevent reoccurrence of conditions, not merely treat the symptoms as they present.
BaiMed Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic offers an unparalled service in the Illawarra and works closely with local GPs, Orthopaedic surgeons and Sports Physicians.
